This simple app from RBI, empowers visually impaired persons. It identifies the denomination of Mahatma Gandhi series banknotes. You just have to download and then open the app and point the camera to the currency note. It will then identify the note by audio notification in Hindi and English and vibration mode.

The identification of the note can be done even in offline mode – no internet connection is required to run the app.

Of course, the app does not guarantee the authenticity of the bank note. It just reads out the denomination for the benefit of the visually impaired.
