A Windows Computer typically takes anywhere between 10 – 20 seconds to startup and it can be very irritating if it takes more time. The easiest way to speed up Boot Time is to disable unwanted startup apps. To do this, just search for Startup Apps and examine each one that runs on Startup, and eliminate those that are unnecessary. This will definitely improve your startup speed.
Further, Windows also has an inbuilt feature to speed up your startup process. Normally, when you shut down your computer, Windows shuts down everything completely—apps, processes, drivers, and the core part of the operating system. With Fast Startup enabled, however, Windows takes a shortcut. Instead of fully shutting down, it saves the system state to a special file on your drive. The next time you boot up, Windows loads that saved state instead of rebuilding it from scratch.More like hibernation for your system files.
To enable fast startup, go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do, then click Change settings that are currently unavailable. Under Shutdown settings, check the box for Turn on fast startup (recommended) – Save changes, and you’re done.
Enjoy a speedy startup – simply!
