How I work – 66 – CloudAround


CloudAround is an app which helps stream your favourite music from anywhere in the Cloud. No Account or Commitment Required. You can sync all of your cloud music in minutes. CloudAround supports Google Drive, MegaCloud, Dropbox, Box, Microsoft Skydrive, SugarSync, Amazon S3, Rackspace Cloud Files, as well as playing all music stored on your device.


Just download the app, and give it access to your Google Drive or any of the Cloud Accounts where your music is stored. It will automatically identify the music files and you have a roaming juke box in your hands ! Currently only MP3 and M4a files are played but other formats are going to be included very soon.

So get ready to enjoy your own personal music collection anytime anywhere !

How I work – 64 – SignNow


SignNow is a simple to use Signature creator. It is used by more than 40% of the Fortune 1000 companies to sign contracts. Whenever you need to sign a document, just upload your PDF, Word or Rich Text document from Google Drive, Dropbox or any other location. Then you go ahead and sign with your finger or use an image to sign the document at the appropriate place. The recipient won’t know that the document was signed electronically. You can now email the document to anyone or even save it for future reference – it’s that simple !

The signatures are secured with Bank-quality encryption and are legally binding. You can sign documents, contracts, lease and title deeds, well, almost anything. Just use your finger the right way !!

How I work – 65 – WorldMate


WorldMate is a great app for air travellers. Download the app for iOS, Blackberry or Android and create a simple login and password for yourself.


Most ticketing is nowadays done online. So, when you get your e-ticket by email, just forward that email to trips@worldmate.com. You will instantly get a confirmation by email and within minutes, your itinerary will be magically organized in your App. It will carry your flight details, dates, and all other relevant information. If you go for the paid version, it will update your GMail Calendar and also give you flight alerts by SMS.
If you have hired a car or booked a Hotel, that will also show up. If not, the app will send you some attractive offers for the same from your destination location.

It works like magic. A must have app for the global traveller.

How I work – 63 – Profile Scheduler


If you have graduated from Symbian (Nokia) to Android, you must have missed the Profile Settings in your Android phone. This option allows you to adjust the sound volume for calls and messages, brightness, etc. based on a pre-set profile. Profile Scheduler from Wetpalm does just that. The app comes with some pre-defined profiles like Home, Work, Outdoors, etc. and you can tweak these as well. Moreover, you can create your own profiles with different settings so that you do not have to change your settings manually.
Besides, with your Smartphone, you can even set your profile based on time of the day, your location, etc. e.g. you may want to enable WiFi and disable Email sync when you are in the office and this app allows you to do just that. You can create a Car profile where – GPS on, Bluetooth on, Wi-Fi off, screen never timeout, or your could create a Power Saver Profile – Mobile data, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth off, low brightness, short screen timeout, auto-sync off.

An important tool to automate your profile through the day.

This is a unique travel site, featuring the best things to do, places to do, when you are on Earth !

How I work – 61 – Timely Alarm Clock


Timely is a beautiful Alarm Clock, very elegantly designed and executed. A treat for your eyes, and of course, your ears.  It also has a revolutionary cloud integration to backup and synchronize your alarms with multiple devices. So wherever you set your alarm, all your devices will be in sync.


Setting an alarm is a breeze – just swipe from the left border and set the desired time by dragging a bar. Tap for increments of 5 minutes. High quality sounds for a great wake-up experience and a smart rise feature which helps you wake up refreshed !  It also includes a stop watch and a countdown timer, to complete the suite.

I never thought that an alarm can be such a pleasant experience. Try it, it’s free !

Every day, we receive hundreds of mails, the majority of which are junk. Mailing companies pick up your email id from various sources and sell it to marketing organizations. Besides, we ourselves voluntarily give our email ids to various websites to receive special offers from time to time. A time comes when we are overwhelmed and want to stop receiving such mails.  

Simply visit www.unroll.me and go through a simple Sign in process.  After you sign up, see a list of all your subscription emails. Unsubscribe instantly from whatever you don’t want. It is that simple. The site’s email management tool also groups all your continuing subscriptions under one head and delivers only 1 mail per day for all your subscriptions – pretty neat, huh ?

Try it, surprise your friends and family and of course have a blast yourself !

How I work – 58 – Clueful Privacy Advisor

If you have many apps, each with multiple updates, you are used to accepting the terms and the invasions in your privacy. Clueful Privacy Advisor, gives you a relook at your privacy compromises.


Simply put, it shows you how your installed apps use and sometimes abuse your privacy. It is like your personal privacy assistant and advises you on what each of your installed apps is doing in the background, without your knowledge !

Some free apps can surprisingly leak your data, spam you, upload your calendar and do many such things in the background without your even knowing it. Use Clueful Privacy Advisor to track those rogue apps and if you do not agree with what they are doing, you are free to uninstal them immdiately!

Wonobo is just the city in your hands. It covers all major Indian cities with street views. Wonobo can help you find directions across several cities, search for places, even look inside thousands of businesses and interesting places. It saves you time and money. Simply click to rediscover your neighbourhood. Use it to revisit your school, share your favourite restaurant, or find out what people have to say about the places they call home. The street views are a treat and sometimes better than Google Maps’ street views, which, unfortunately are not so good for India. Search using the address bar or simply browse through.

It is a collaborative effort. So, if you find any errors or inaccuracies, you can point them out and they will be rectified. You also have the freedom to create content for others.
